Mood Patterns Privacy Policy

Mood Patterns is an iPhone app made by Larsca Ltd. It does not collect any personal data.

What we collect

Nothing.

Mood Patterns has no account, no sign-in and no server. It makes no network requests of any kind. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting in it. We never receive your moments, your notes, your reason categories, your reminder times, your device identifiers, your location or anything about how you use the app. We have no way to see any of it.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you record is written to a database inside the app's own private storage on your iPhone, and it stays there. That database holds:

each moment you save: the time, the point you chose on the scale, the reasons you picked, and the note if you wrote one
your reason categories, including any you renamed, added or removed

Alongside it the app keeps a few plain settings: your reminder times, whether reminders are on, and how you have chosen to colour the calendar.

This storage is covered by iOS file protection and your device passcode in the same way as any other app's local data. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup is made by Apple's software under Apple's terms; we are not part of it and cannot read it.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We share nothing because we hold nothing, and there is no third party receiving data from this app for any purpose.

The app uses three ordinary features of your iPhone: local reminders, the share sheet and the document picker. All three run on your device.

Reminders

If you turn reminders on, iOS asks your permission and then schedules them on the phone itself. No push service is involved, there is no device token, and nothing is sent to us when a reminder appears or when you open one. You can change the times or switch reminders off in the app, and you can revoke the permission at any time in the iPhone's own Settings.

Exporting your journal

Mood Patterns can write everything you have recorded into a single file and hand that file to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice alone. Once you send it somewhere (another app, a drive, a message), that destination's own terms apply to it. We are not part of that transfer and never receive the file.

Importing reads a file you pick with the iPhone's document picker. It merges into what is already there and removes nothing, unless you deliberately choose to replace your history instead, which the app asks you to confirm first.

Keeping and deleting

We hold nothing, so there is nothing for us to keep or to delete, and no consent to withdraw. Your journal is kept for exactly as long as you keep it on your device.

You can remove any single moment from inside the app, and you can delete reason categories you no longer want. Deleting the app removes its database with it, and that erases everything the app had stored. If you want to keep a copy first, export before you delete.

Children

Mood Patterns is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If a future version of the app ever changes what it does with data, this document is updated before that version is released, and the change is described in the app's release notes.
